Fraser Island~ K'gari~Surfersgarden will work with the World Heritage Department to bring back the Koala to this amazing landscape. The island continues to enrich peoples lives, over 500000 visitors a year, experience bush tucker , vast sand blows, wildlife, tropical rainforests, the worlds best example of plant succession and retrogression. On the eastern side of the island pioneer species establish fungi around the roots, as plants die nutrients become available for other species, around the centre of the island tall rainforests dominate, however towards the western side, the nutrients are leached too deep for some plants to access so a retrogression of plants occurs.
