The Aboriginal Yinneburra tribe of the Guubbi Gubbi people have a Dreamtime legend for the mountains of volcanic rock that surround the 'Sunshine Coast'. Coolum was a young warrior who fell in love with the young babe Maroochy. Ninderry, a raging warrior from a fierce clan kidnapped Maroochy, then smacked Coolum's head off with a club when he found him after a stealth rescue mission of his love. His head rolled out to sea forming mudjimba island.. old woman! There was some energy at Mount Coolum today. Is mother nature upset.. maybe sad? There's some hectic weather going down in the South East.
A Colorado winter wonderland, far from a soggy Qld summer home. I now understand why people do seasons/visit the snow yearly. This was the daily sight towards the rockies on the lonely morning down hill runs, after snow groomers had the spent the night mowing the powdery slopes. Why can't crew share waves at tea tree like the friendly peeps amongst the corduroy?
